Story of AlpenMarkt

AlpenMarkt grew from the desire to share goods and traditions from German and Alpine-region countries, inspired by the beautiful outdoor markets (like Viktualienmarkt in Munich), enchanting Christmas markets, the quaint villages, majestic mountains, lush forests, fairy tale castles, and iconic landmarks. The US is home to many German ex-pats, Americans who have lived in or visited Germany, people of Deutsch ancestry, or folks who simply enjoy German traditions.

We realized that it can be difficult to find some products typically found in Germany, thus we offer German home goods and decor, gifts for all occasions, holiday décor and ornaments, 'Willkommen' welcome signs, Bavarian jewelry, German language greeting cards, and more. Our inventory is always growing; we ship quickly and affordably within the U.S.

Focus on Wellness

I am also a Master Aromatherapist & Herbalist with several degrees, diplomas, and certificates in various aspects of holistic health. My love of holistic health came from my dad, who grew up during and after WWII in Munich and in a small village in the Alps. Living in Hawaii for many years, we gained a deeper appreciation for the power of healing from the land and the sea. My dad taught me to seek healing from nature and inspired me to get my education in phytomedicine (healing plants). My mom always made our home gemütlich (comfortable, cozy, pleasant) and they have been my biggest inspiration in life. 

I have used Young Living Essential Oils for 20 years and make my own essential oil skin care blends. I love to drink hot tea which is a delicious way to consume healing herbs. We also use JuicePlus+ (fruits and vegetables condensed into capsules) which is packed with phytonutrients.
